Announcements – Friday, November 14th Posted on November 14, 2025 Announcements for Friday, November 14th, 2025 Today is Day 5 Tech: Until the end of Term 1 (the end of the November), the Tech room will only be open for Grade 6 students who have Tech assignments to complete. Closed to grade 7 and 8 and closed to students who just want to hang out. Music: This is a reminder of the Senior Band “Holiday blast” rehearsal after school today. It ends at 4:40pm. Art: The Art room is only open at lunch this week for Grade 8 students who are working on clay and portrait projects. Closed to all other students. Sports: Tryouts for the Varsity Boys basketball team are cancelled for today. Stay tuned for announcements on the next tryout. Varsity Girls’ tryouts, originally scheduled for yesterday, will now begin on Tuesday, Nov. 18th right after school (3 -4:30). A second tryout will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 19th right after school. Please sign up prior to attending the tryouts. The Badminton Team will have a celebration today at lunch in the Tech room. Dodgeball Intramurals, a full schedule is now posted outside the gym and the following teams play Monday – Dream Team faces the Underdogs and the Ball Blasters take on the Ballistic Bombers. 25¢ to watch. Do you feel like you missed out on a fun opportunity to play Dodgeball intramurals? Well, we have a team that is looking for 5 more players, if you would like to play and have not yet signed up, please see Mr. Long today. The following soccer players need to return their soccer jerseys to Ms. Hannam asap: Maggie (VG), Mia (VG), Dalton (JVB), Carter (JVB), Clark (JVB), and Carson (JVB). If your name is on this list, and you have turned your jersey in, please disregard the announcement. And all Badminton players are also reminded to pass in their shirts to Mr. Long. Ski / Snowboard Club 2026 – The school has once again secured space in the Poley Mountain School Ski Program for the 2026 season. The season will consist of six sessions (weather depending) starting 9 January and continuing each week on Friday evenings. Information is being sent to parents today and a student session will be held for all interested students next Tues Nov 18. Seats will be allocated on a first come – first served basis on Thursday Nov 20th beginning at 8:10 AM. This activity is limited of 50 participants due to space on the bus. Other: Daily Affirmation – I am in charge of my life. PRIDE Passes – Thanking a grade 8 student for offering a helping hand in class and a grade 6 student showed initiative and kindness by noticing another student needed a teacher’s help. Chris Saunders Elementary is looking for middle school student volunteers to help lead games and activities at their annual CSMES Holiday Yule Event.
