That’s all Grade 8 students participating in the ‘Graphic Design’ group – meet in the art room at 12:10 today. Yearbook Helpers will meet after school today until 4 pm. Wellness: Tech: The Tech Lab, which includes the Lego Wall and hallway, will be closed for the remainder of the week. It remains open for students working on special projects who have already made arrangements with Mr. Donovan. Music: This is a reminder about band preps today. Beginner Band has band prep in period one and Senior Band has band prep in period 2. Attention Senior Band, you also have practice today after school until 4:30pm. Sports: Congratulations to the JV Girls basketball team for winning a very close game yesterday against HMMS. In basketball action today, the Varsity Boys host HMS at 4pm and the Varsity Girls travel to Simonds High to continue their games as part of the Beaconsfield Middle School tournament. Good luck to both of our Varsity teams today. Tomorrow, the Development Team will practice after school and the JV Boys will practice 6 – 7:30pm. Intramurals: The 3 on 3 basketball tournament continues today. All 8 teams playing should bring their lunches to the gym at the beginning of noon hour, 11:50, and will stay in the gym for the entire lunchtime. Wednesday – Round 1 – Bucks vs Bulls and Cavaliers vs Pacers Round 2 – Pistons vs Hawks and Hornets vs Pacers Referees – Eila and Leah, Wyatt, Avery and Ethan. Scorekeepers – Lillian, Nora and Blythe Thursday Jan 22 – Round 1 – Lakers vs Warriors and Suns vs Kings Round 2 – Clippers vs Nuggets and Jazz vs Kings Referees – Cruz, Emmett, Bryant and Terry. Score Keepers – Eila, Leah, Stephanie and Olivia. Other: WWE Club will meet in Mme Cusack’s room at lunch. Attention library volunteers: Mrs. McGrath will not be available for the library program today. If you still want to help out, you can volunteer during the second half of lunch. Thank you! Show the Love for Staff Appreciation – In the next day or so, you will begin to notice that there are paper hearts being posted in the main lobby. Homeroom teachers, there are hearts in your mailboxes waiting to be filled out. The hearts are part of our Staff Appreciation event coming up in February. How do you get a heart to Show the Love to our amazing staff? Families can donate on Cashless Schools and for every $2 that is donated, the student will receive a paper heart on which they can write the name of a staff member who they would like to celebrate. All donations will help QMS Connections spoil our staff members with a delicious meal and other treats and surprises during Staff Appreciation week!
