Announcements – Friday, January 23rd Posted on January 23, 2026 Announcements for Friday, January 23rd, 2026 Today is Day 5 Art: Wellness: Tech: The Tech Lab, which includes the Lego Wall and hallway, remains closed today. It is open for students working on special projects who have already made arrangements with Mr. Donovan. Music: Attention band students! You have a non-instructional day on Monday. Please give Ms. Rattray the ultimate birthday present and practice your instrument on Monday! Sports: Congratulations to the VG basketball team for defeating HMMS in the final of the Beaconsfield middle school tournament. The girls showed great sportsmanship all week and should be proud of their efforts. Great job team. In basketball action today, the development team will practice right after school, followed by the JVG practice 4:30 – 6. Looking ahead to Tuesday, the VG and VB are taking part in the Dairy Town Classic in Sussex. The VG play SMS at 5pm, followed by the VB vs. SMS at 6:30pm. At QMS, the JVG host MCS at 4pm. Good luck to all teams in their games on Tuesday. Intramurals: The 3 on 3 basketball tournament continues Tuesday, no games today. Other: There is a missing shoe, it was hidden in the Music room and has not been found. It is a white and blue Air Force sneaker. If you see it, please return it to the office. Show the Love for Staff Appreciation – Hearts are starting to appear in the lobby! Homeroom teachers, there are hearts in your mailboxes waiting to be filled out. The hearts are part of our Staff Appreciation event in February. How do you get a heart to Show the Love to our amazing staff? Families can donate on Cashless Schools and for every $2 that is donated, the student will receive a paper heart on which they can write the name of a staff member who they would like to celebrate. All donations will help QMS Connections spoil our staff members with a delicious meal and other treats and surprises during Staff Appreciation week!
