Announcements – Monday, February 2nd Posted on February 3, 2026 Announcements for Monday, February 2nd, 2026 Today is Day 1 Wellness: Art: The Art & Poster Club meets today in the art room until 4:00. Please have your way home arranged in advance. A reminder that the art room is open during 2nd half of lunch if Gr. 6 students want to work at their monochromatic paintings. Music: There will be a practice for Senior Band Drummers at lunch today. Please bring your lunch to the music room at 11:50. Sports: Intramurals: games continue tomorrow. Only one game on the basketball schedule today; the JV Boys travel to RPS for a 4pm game. For practices today, the Varsity Boys will practice after school followed by the Varsity Girls who will practice 4:30 – 6. Tomorrow, the JV Girls host VCA while the Varsity Girls travel to SMS. Both games are at 4pm. Following the JV Girls game, the Varsity Boys will practice. A note for the JV Girls game that we are hosting, score keepers are still needed. If you can help out, please see Ms. Hannam. Other: Can Tabs – Mme Spinks will be dropping off the can tabs on Saturday, please send them down this week. Show the Love for Staff Appreciation – Many thanks to the parents who have supported our Show the Love Campaign to fund Staff Appreciation in February. Families can donate on Cashless Schools and for every $2 that is donated, the student will receive a paper heart on which they can write the name of a staff member who they would like to celebrate. Daily Affirmation – I can take it one step at a time PRIDE Passes – – A grade8 student helped a teacher out at lunch and a grade 6 student had good participation in class.
