Day 5

Provincial Assessments: Our final week of assessments begins tomorrow with grade 7 writing the provincial math assessment. All gr 7 classes will remain in homeroom tomorrow morning.

Music: There will be a band prep for Senior Band today in period 5. Attention Beginner Band: You have a practice tomorrow at lunch. 

Athletics: to the VB flag football team for their successful tournament over the weekend. The team finished the round robin in 1st place but lost in the quarter finals. Despite the finish, the team should be proud of how they represented QMS. Well done.

A reminder to all those interested in long jump and/or high jump, tryouts for these events are after school today in the gym. This is the last tryout for all track and field events.

All volleyball jerseys are now past due. The following still need to bring your jersey to Ms. Hannam:

JVG – Rylin, Olivia and Izzy.

JVB – Dalton, Jack, Ben, Josh, Ryan and Lucas.

VG – Devyn, Maria, Grace, and Nora.

VB – Emmanuel, Lachlan, Connor, Levi, Eli, Lucas, Parker, and Karl.

If your name is on this list and you have turned your jersey in, please see Ms. Hannam.

Softball –  The girls’ softball team has a game this evening at 6 against St Stephen and a game tomorrow at 4 against Samuel-de-Champlain. Both games will be played at Centennial Field. Good luck to our girls!

Grade 8 students, keep sending in your toddler / pre-school age photos to be used in the year end, Grade 8 Slide Show. Please send ONE digital photo to shawna.spinks@nbed.nb.ca before Friday, May 29^th. Please include your name as you wish it to appear on the slide and please watch for a reply.

Student Volunteers Needed – Quispamsis Elementary School is hosting their 4th Annual Spring Fling on Friday May 29^th. This will be a fun community event with games, face painting, balloon animals and more. They are looking for student volunteers to help run the games. Volunteers will be needed from 5:30-8:00 pm on May 29th. If anyone is interested in helping out, please email Julie.urquhart@nbed.nb.ca by Friday May 22^nd. Volunteers will be provided supper (2 slices of pizza) when they arrive at 5:30pm.
