Day 2

Provincial Assessments: Our final week of assessments continues today with grade 7 writing the provincial math assessment.  

Visits: We welcome future QMS students from QES and LES to the school this morning.

Music: Attention Senior Band Members: You have practice today after school until 4:15 because your concert is tomorrow. Beginner Band – you have practice tomorrow during lunch. Everyone should be there for one last playthrough before the concert, especially the students who forgot yesterday. 

Athletics:

The following volleyball players need to pass jerseys in to Ms. Hannam before the end of the day tomorrow:

JVG: Rylin, Olivia, and Izzy.

JVB: Dalton, Ben, Josh, Ryan and Lucas.

VG: Devyn, Maria, and Grace.

VB: Lachlan, Connor, Levi, Eli, and Parker.

If you have passed your jersey in and your name is on this list, please see Ms. Hannam. If you are unsure where Ms. Hannam is located, bring your jersey to the office.

The list for the track and field team will be posted this morning. If you tried out or spoke to Ms. Hannam about an event, please check the list. If you are unable to attend the meet on June 4th, please see Ms. Hannam ASAP so you can be replaced. There will be a meeting for all track and field athletes tomorrow at the start of lunch (11:50) in the gym. This meeting is mandatory for all athletes.

Softball – The girls had an excellent game against Sam de Cham—one of the toughest teams we’ve faced this season. The game ended in a 10–10 tie, with strong effort and some outstanding plays from everyone involved. Great job, team! There will be a practice today from 3:00–4:00 to prepare for provincials this weekend at Forest Hills. 

Other: Applications for Year End awards will close tomorrow, students can nominate themselves or a friend.

Grade 8 students, keep sending in your toddler / pre-school age photos to be used in the year end, Grade 8 Slide Show. Please send ONE digital photo to shawna.spinks@nbed.nb.ca before Friday, May 29th. Please include your name as you wish it to appear on the slide and please watch for a reply.
