Announcements – Tuesday, September 29th Posted on September 29, 2026 QMS Morning Announcements Today is DAY 3 SEPTEMBER 29th 2026 TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION ANNOUNCEMENT LEADERSHIP: Thank you to our 6 Grade 6 Leaders for all their help coordinating photo day yesterday. From the Wellness Centre UBU meets TUESDAYS and Thursdays, with the exception of this week. This week, UBU will meet on TUESDAY and FRIDAY in the Wellness Centre at 12:10. All are welcome! Congratulationsto the following students! Their teacher references were overwhelmingly positive, highlighting their leadership, kindness, responsibility, and commitment to our school community. Based on these recommendations, they have been selected to join the Take 5 for SEL Team. We are excited to have these students helping promote social-emotional learning and making a positive difference at QMS. Well done! SPORTS CROSS COUNTRY:The first lunch time run for those interested in cross country will take place on Thursday at 12:10. Please ensure you have proper running shoes and that you are outside, by the front doors, ready to run at 12:10. You MUST check in with Ms. Hannam before your run. CONGRATULATIONS to the JVG soccer team for a great first game vs. SMS yesterday. The girls played to a 1-1 draw. Great job girls! The JVG are next in action on Friday when they host RPS at 4pm. In soccer today, the VB host SMS at 4pm while the JVG travel to SMS for a 4pm game. Good luck boys! Looking ahead to Thursday, both boys’ teams play again with the VB traveling to HMS and the JVB hosting HMS. Both games are at 4pm. One final soccer note, all soccer players are reminded to turn in your contracts to Ms. Hannam ASAP. A reminder to all girls of open gym after school for 3v3 basketball. Lunch Intramurals: The soccer schedule and team lists are posted outside the gym. Games will start TODAY during the second half of lunch. Players can come down to the gym following the second bell. Good luck to everyone involved! Tech Room The Tech Room is open at lunch all week. Morning Intramurals Bring your gym shoes and enter the school at 8:00 a.m. Badminton Club Wednesdays and Thursdays, 2:40 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. No Badminton tomorrow as there is no school. Music Attention members of the Senior Band: Since there will not be rehearsal on Wednesday, we are practicing today after school. The practice ends at 4:30pm. There will be a practice today at lunch for Beginner Band woodwinds. If you play flute, clarinet or saxophone in the Beginner Band, please come for a practice in the second half of lunch. If you would like, you can bring your lunch to the Music room in the first half so we can get playing by the second half bell.
