Today is Day 4

Wellness:

Music: There is a rehearsal today for Senior Band after school until 4:30pm. There is also a band prep in period 3 today. These are our last practices before the concert at KV on Wednesday.  Please be there!

This announcement is for all band students: The Music Room is open today at lunch for any band students who would like extra practice or who would like extra help.

Talent show auditions will be held in Mme Roberts classroom today across from the cafeteria.

Leadership: Leadership meeting today in room 111. Please bring your lunch.

Art:  A reminder that there is NO Art & Poster Club today.  We will resume again in the new year.

Talent Show – Any students interested in having artwork displayed during the QMS Talent Show should head to the art room during 2nd half of lunch this week.  Your work will be photographed and labelled for the exhibit.  Deadline for submissions is this Thursday.

Sports:

Basketball – In basketball action today, the JV Girls will have their final tryout from 3 – 4:30. Following the JV Girls tryout, the Varsity Girls will practice 6 – 7:30. Varsity Girls, please note the time!

Tomorrow, the Varsity Boys will practice 3 – 4:30, followed by the JV Boys 4:30 – 6.

Ski Club – If you have a confirmed seat, please give your signed paperwork to Mr. Nelson ASAP!

Dodgeball Intramurals – There will be extra games today and tomorrow to make up for the cancellations last week. Today, because of the assembly schedule, all teams will play during the second half. Picked Last and the Schoolyard Slayers play first followed by Hit and Misses who will face the Underdogs and then the Dream Team will play the Ball Blasters. Tuesday, the Dodge Destroyers take on The Hit Squad at 12pm followed by Picked Last against the Hit Squad and the Ball Avengers who play the Dodge Destroyers.

Daily Affirmation – It is enough to do my best

PRIDE Passes – A grade 6 student was motivated and took learning risks in Math class. A grade 7 student followed instructions and showed focus during Tech class. A quality move!

Tickets for the December Dance are still available on Cashless schools. The dance will be held Thursday evening, December 11th. Deadline to purchase a tickets is Tuesday at midnight. Cheese pizza options available.
