Announcements – Tuesday, April 28th Posted on April 28, 2026 Announcements for Tuesday, April 28, 2026 Day 4 Cougar Pride Shout Out to students who bring their scooters and bikes to school. At dismissal yesterday, every single one of you was wearing a helmet and walked your mode of transportation safely. Let’s keep that going until it becomes automatic. Well done! Provincial Assessments continue today for grade 6 classes. A reminder to students who may be upstairs during the morning, please travel quietly in the hallways while classes are writing the assessments. Teachers, ALL 4 laptop carts are to be returned to the library after the assessments. Please be sure they are plugged in. The library is open again at lunch. Grade 7 in the cafeteria this week. And now that the weather is nicer and more students are going outside, please remember that the basketball court and the gagaball pit are restricted to the same grade level that is in the cafe. The gagaball pit should have a max of 16 students at a time. Once hit with the ball, your game is over and you must exit. Students waiting to play should line up along the outside at each corner, first 2 in each of the 8 lines play the next game. If no one is waiting to play, students can play again. Art: The Art Room is only open for Gr. 7 students who are working to finish up their projects. Music: The Music room is closed at lunch and there will not be Singing Club today. The travelling concert will be on Thursday. BIM: The BIM room is closed at lunch today, Mrs. C is not here. Sports: The Varsity Girls lost a close match to Sussex last night, ending with a 31-29 loss. Great battle by the whole team! The team will host RPS tomorrow for their last home game. Just one game in volleyball today as the JV Girls travel to SMS. Good luck girls! Tomorrow, in addition to the Varsity Girls game, the Varsity Boys play at HMMS at 4pm. Also, following the Varsity Girls game, the JV teams will practice. They will be speaking to students about democracy, government responsibilities, the importance of making informed votes, and the voting process. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn directly from community experts about these important roles.
