Announcements – Tuesday, May 19th Posted on May 19, 2026 Provincial Assessments: Grade 6 classes will remain in homerooms this morning as classes write the provincial science assessment. Gr 8s to KVHS: Gr 8 classes will be travelling to KVHS this morning for a welcome assembly and transition visit. Buses will be ready to board at 9:45. Wellness: Grit Group meetings will be held at the following times ON THURSDAY: Period 2 – Grade 7; Period 3 – Gr 6 (ENG HRs); Period 4 – Gr 6 (FI HRs) Art: Music: This is a reminder to Singing Club of our practice at lunch today. Please bring your lunch when the bell rings at 11:50 and we will start singing after eating. There is also practice today after school. -Attention Beginner Band: You have a practice tomorrow at lunch. Please bring your lunch when the bell rings. -This announcement is for Senior Band: There is a band prep tomorrow in period 5 along with after school practice tomorrow. Athletics: Track and Field – Running tryouts will take place today after school (weather permitting) on the field. Please ensure you have appropriate footwear. Field tryouts will take place Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday will be on the field for discuss and shot put; Thursday will be in the gym for long jump and high jump. Please see Ms. Hannam if you have any questions. There will only be one tryout day for each so if you are interested, you must attend! The Girls’ softball team has their first game today against Samuel-de-Champlain from 4-6 pm. The game will be played at Centennial Field. Good luck girls! All volleyball players are asked to return their washed jerseys to Ms. Hannam ASAP. Student Volunteers Needed – Quispamsis Elementary School is hosting their 4th Annual Spring Fling on Friday May 29th. This will be a fun community event with games, face painting, balloon animals and more. They are looking for student volunteers to help run the games. Volunteers will be needed from 5:30-8:00 pm on May 29th. If anyone is interested in helping out, please email Julie.urquhart@nbed.nb.ca by Friday May 22nd. Volunteers will be provided supper (2 slices of pizza) when they arrive at 5:30pm.
