Closed to grade 7 and 8. Music: Attention to all students in Beginner Band, Senior Band and Singing Club: Please bring your KV High Permission forms to the music room for your visit tomorrow morning. If you do not have it today, please see Ms. Rattray to discuss your permission form. This is a reminder of Singing Club after school today. It ends at 4:15. There will be a band prep today in period 3 for Beginner Band in the Music room. Please ask permission from your period 3 teacher. The QMS Talent Show date has been set! It will be held on Tuesday, December 16. We know that the hallways at QMS are bursting with talent – singing, dancing, playing an instrument, juggling, magic tricks, a comedic bit, you name it, we want to see it! Sign up for an audition! Auditions will be held next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. There are sign-up sheets outside of the Music room. Wellness: UBU meets today during the second half of lunch, all are welcome to join in the Wellness Centre. Art: The Art Room will only be open for Grade 8 students working on their projects during 2nd half of lunch this week. Sports: Basketball– The Varsity Boys will practice after school from 3 – 4:30 followed by the JV Boys who have their first tryout from 4:30 – 6. JV Boys please ensure you have signed up on the sheet posted outside of the gym. Tomorrow, the Varsity Girls’ team will practice 3 – 4:15. All JV Girls interested in trying out for basketball, please listen for an announcement in the coming days for information on your first tryout. A sign-up sheet will be posted outside of the gym later this week. Ski Club – All spots are filled. If you have a confirmed seat, please give your signed paperwork to Mr. Nelson ASAP! Dodgeball Intramurals – At lunch today, Picked Last plays the Ball Avengers and the School Yard Slayers take on the Hit Squad. Wednesday, the Dodgy Bunch face the Dodgefathers and the Academic Assassins play the Misfits. Other: A new club is starting today! If you like playing cards and board games, the group will meet today and each Tuesday in Mrs. McGrath’s class at 12:10. Come check it out during the second half of lunch today. Holiday Turkey Dinner – Only one week left to reserve your spot at our annual delicious holiday turkey dinner. The cafeteria staff will once again be preparing a full turkey dinner, including dessert and milk, on December 10th. Tickets are now on sale through the regular cafeteria ordering site for the restaurant style meal served by staff in a candlelit setting.
