A brand new pair of Blundstones were removed from the gym yesterday at the end of lunch. They are brown and size 5. If you accidentally took the boots, thinking they were yours, please return them to the office. Wellness: UBU meets at lunch today. Looking ahead to Wednesday and Thursday, the Wellness Centre will be closed to everyone at lunch Wednesday and a working lunch for UBU students on Thursday. Music: There is a practice for Beginner Band today during lunch. Please bring your lunch to the Music room so you can get started right away. There will also be a band prep in period 4 after lunch. Please get permission from your period 4 teacher. This will be your last practice before the concert tomorrow. There is Singing Club after school until 4:30pm. Note the later end time. This is your last rehearsal before the concert tomorrow. It is very important to be there! The Talent Show performer list is on the Music room wall. Thank you to everyone who auditioned! If you are interested in being an announcer for the Talent Show, please sign up outside of the Music room. Art: The Art Room is closed during 2nd half of lunch today. Talent Show – Any students interested in having artwork displayed during the QMS Talent Show should head to the art room during 2nd half of lunch this week. You could submit a drawing, a painting, clay work, something you’ve knit or crocheted, something you’ve created in the art room, or something you’ve created at home. Deadline for submissions is this Thursday. Sports: Basketball – In basketball action today, the Varsity Boys will practice 3 – 4:30, followed by the JV Boys 4:30 – 6. JV Girls will have their final tryout Wednesday 3 – 4:30. The call back list will be posted before 9 am. Ski Club – If you have a confirmed seat, please give your signed paperwork to Mr. Nelson ASAP! Dodgeball Intramurals – There will be extra games today to make up for the cancellations last week. Today, the Dodge Destroyers take on The Hit Squad at 12pm followed by Picked Last against the Hit Squad and the Ball Avengers who play the Dodge Destroyers. Other: Cards and board games club, the group will meet today in Mrs. McGrath’s class at 12:10. Come check it out during the second half of lunch today. Daily Affirmation – I accept who I am. PRIDE Passes – Mr. Nelson challenged a grade 6 student to a basketball shot and the student made it! Success! A grade 7 student puts forth his best effort, is an independent worker and is a reliable student. All great qualities to possess! Deadline to purchase tickets for the December Dance is tonight at midnight. They are available on Cashless schools. The dance will be held Thursday evening, December 11th. Cheese pizza options available. The annual Holiday Turkey Dinner is tomorrow at lunch. Tickets will be delivered to homerooms today and distributed to students tomorrow morning. If you do not have a ticket, you must bring lunch from home, no other meals are available tomorrow and only students having the turkey dinner will eat in the cafeteria, all students will eat in their homerooms.
