Announcements – Wednesday, February 11th Posted on February 11, 2026 Announcements for Wednesday, February 11th, 2026 Today is Day 3 Assembly Schedule: Students are following P1 to 4 this morning. Our assembly will take place during Block 5. Following lunch all students will gather their Period 5 materials and take their coats and bookbags to their Period 5 class. Classes will be called to the gym from their P5 class and return to this class at the end of the assembly. Staff Appreciation week continues here at QMS. Today, our parent Connections group has a sweet treat for the staff. They will be tucked into your mailboxes. Many thanks to the parents who have supported our Show the Love Campaign to fund the daily items for Staff Appreciation this week! Art: Yearbook Helpers will meet in the art room after school today until 4:00. Music: There is a practice for Beginner Band today during lunch. Please bring your lunch to the Music room and practice will begin after everyone has finished eating. There is Senior Band after school today. It ends at 4:30pm. Wellness: Sports: Intramurals: 3 on 3 basketball intramurals are postponed this week as we switch our attention to the Olympics. The gym will be open during the second half of lunch for any students who would like to watch events on the big screen. Students must remain seated in the bleachers while watching and must stay until the 12:30 bell. Current medal count for Canada sits at 2 Bronze and 1 silver, including an athlete from Moncton! Other: Library volunteers, Mrs. McGrath will not be available today. If you would still like to put books away, you can do so during the second half of lunch. WWE Club will meet in Mme Cusack’s room at lunch. Drop by if you like to talk about wrestling! Keep submitting your random acts of kindness! The leadership team is challenging all students to perform random acts of kindness this week. When you do something nice for someone, take a ballot from the envelope on the bulletin board and drop the completed ballot in the office. Thank you for spreading kindness!! Daily Affirmation – My possibilities are endless PRIDE Passes – A grade 6 student volunteered to clean up the class after the popcorn feast! A grade 8 student was determined to do quality work. Trivia will be tomorrow, when classes are in HRs.
