Today is Day 5

Starting today, we’ll be keeping the cafeteria open during the second half of lunch. All students from all 3 grade levels are welcome to stay in the cafeteria after the 12:10 bell. Field duty person will stay inside in the cafeteria. Students must remain seated, you can bring a deck of cards, a game or just chat with friends. Given the weather forecast, we may all be inside today at lunch, please listen for an announcement before the bell.

Wellness: There will be UBU tomorrow during the 2nd half of lunch. Everyone is welcome.

Music: There will be Senior Band after school today, it ends at 4:30 and Beginner Band on Thursday.

Sports:  Basketball – Congratulations to both the Varsity Girls and the JV Girls basketball teams for great games yesterday. The Varsity Girls defeated HMMS and the JV Girls lost a tough game to SMS.

In basketball action today, the JV Boys open their season with a 4pm game at SMS. Good luck team!

Also today, the JV Girls practice after school followed by the VB practicing 4:30 – 6.

Tomorrow, the Varsity Girls host RPS at 4pm while the JV Girls travel to HMS. Following the Varsity Girls game, the VB will practice 5:30 – 7.

Reminder for anyone interested in helping keep score during our home basketball games to please sign up outside the gym or see Ms. Hannam. And a reminder to score keepers, part of your responsibilities when you stay after school to keep score, is to open the door for players and spectators.

Intramurals – There will be a meeting tomorrow during the second half of lunch, in the gym, for all students interested in participating in a 3 on 3 intramural basketball tournament.

Ski / Snowboard Club: There will be a meeting for all members of the Ski / Snowboard club today at 12:10 in the gym (change of location). All members must attend. 

Other:

WWE in Mme Cusack’s room at lunch. If it’s an indoor lunch, it will be cancelled.

Daily Affirmation – No matter how hard it is, I can do it

PRIDE Passes – A grade 8 student showed respect as she did her best to stay off the freshly mopped floor and a grade 6 student showed motivation as he participated and asked good questions in class.

Tuesday Trivia – New Year’s
